Fakenham Parish Church, the home of Fakenham’s Christmas Tree Festival, is a centre for prayer and worship at the heart of our community. Prayer, communication with God, is central to all we do.

These prayers have been specially written for our Christmas Tree Festival in previous years:

Loving God,
bless this festival,
all who will come,
all who make it possible,
all who will benefit,
and as each tree is ablaze with many lights,
so may your light fill us with love this Christmas
Amen.

Heavenly Father, bless this Christmas Tree Festival.
Thank you for all who give their time and talents to work for others and all who give money to support that work.
We pray especially for all the charities represented here.
May we, through this Festival, bring Your joy into the hearts and lives of all who visit and all who benefit from the support the Festival gives.
Amen. 

In 2020, we were not able to be in the church building for the Festival but we asked God’s blessing on the virtual Christmas Tree Festival, the charities and all that were involved in bringing it to fruition, and on all who watched the videos or took part in any way:

Loving God,
We could have sat down and wept for the loss to our community of the Christmas Tree Festival!
Thank you for your inspiration and creativity which has given rise to 2020’s virtual Festival.
Bless the charities taking part and all who work for the good of others, here and elsewhere.
May we all feel your presence and your love upholding us through these difficult times and always.
